Nothing Ever Goes My Way!!!
Well for those of you who didn't know me and Kevin are looking for a house!! We've been looking for about a month now, and every house we would go and look at we would pick apart, we just couldn't seem to find a house the we(in the words of Laura!) Absolutely Loved!!! Then about two weeks ago we found it!!! It was so beautiful, it had dark brown stucco, the perfect lawn, the layout we loved and the square footage that Kevin wanted. we were so excited and nervous at the same time but we decided to put an offer on it. So the next day Jason (our realtor) brought a stack of 28 papers for Kevin to fill out so we could put an offer on it. I think that was one of the most nerve racking parts of all!! So anyways there were already four offers on the house that were all pretty much under or right at asking price so our realtor advised us to ask over asking price that way we would have a better chance of getting it. So a week went by and we were both sick to our stomachs waiting to hear if we got it or not, and finally Jason called us and told us that the bank had denied all offers that were FHA loans because they wanted a Conventional Loan. Well luckily we were able to switch it over to Conventional because Kevin had such good credit. So pretty much after we did that and resubmitted it we just knew that we had the house! We were already planning where to put the furniture, what color to paint the walls, and the color tile we were going to put on the counters. Everyone (Laura and my Mom) was buying us so much stuff to put in it, it was so exciting. Anyways we were still waiting to hear if we had got it, Kevin would call Jason almost everyday asking about it, and everyday he still hadn't heard anything except for that we were still the highest bid, which was good. Then at the beginning of this week the bank had emailed Jason saying that they wanted the highest offer by Wednesday so they can close it. By the sounds of that we got even more excited because we were still the highest offer and we didn't think that in two days someone would really offer anything on it because two weeks went by and no one offered anything. So yesterday i was waiting anxiously by my phone waiting for Kevin to call me and tell me the good news...boy was i wrong!!! I guess yesterday the last day it was suppose to be on the market, someone came in and bid $10,000 more then our offer!! I was so crushed when Kevin told me, i thought for a second that he was kidding but no!! It was true!! We didn't get it!! I will have to admit that i cried for a while after he told me, i was so discouraged. I didn't want any other house but that one!! It seems like i have the worst luck ever...nothing ever goes my way! But after Kevin trying to make me feel better by saying, "it will be OK babe at least we have each other!" I just need to realize that that house wasn't meant for us there is probably a bigger better one out there waiting for us!
